While Guitar Companion has garnered a lot of positive feedback, it has also faced criticism. Users have pointed out issues such as the fretboard being reversed in landscape mode, queries about support for left-handed players, requests for European notation, and doubts about its effectiveness as a teaching tool.

We have addressed many of these concerns in recent updates. The fretboard now displays correctly in landscape mode on iPad, a left-handed mode has been introduced, and support for European and Japanese notations has been added.

Improving the teaching aspect has been more challenging, but we have introduced new tools for users to explore:

• Patterns: Learn scales along the fretboard and discover unique ways to play them. These patterns can serve as sources of inspiration for songwriting.
• Favorites: Curate your own collection of chords or scales in personalized songbooks to aid in practice and memorization.

Furthermore, we have simplified our pricing structure with the introduction of the All Access Pass. This pass grants users an ad-free experience, access to all skins and beat packs, various alternate tunings, and advanced patterns in the Patterns feature—all intended to enhance your guitar-playing journey.
